Donate Books
We receive tons of inquiries from generous folks who want to donate books to us. For small quantities (25 books or less), consider bringing them to one of our Boogie Down Bibliotecas!
Unfortunately, we generally don't have the capacity to accept larger book donations, but here are some wonderful organizations that do!
Sales of donations fund job training and assistance programs.
Send books to soldiers overseas, military families, and veterans’ hospitals.
Books are donated to people who are incarcerated.
New or like-new children’s and young adult books are donated to underfunded schools, Native American reservations, and libraries.
New and/or gently used books are donated to libraries, schools, teachers, and organizations in need
New and gently used books for children and young adults are used to create and supplement classroom libraries for under-resourced New York City public schools
Donated books are sold to benefit the Webster branch of the New York Public Library at this used bookstore staffed entirely by volunteers.
