Pots, Pans, and Pages is our new online food and literacy series for young people. These read-aloud/cook-along events are designed for young readers and eaters ages 5-13 and open to participants of all ages. We especially welcome grandparents and other family members looking to connect with the young people in their lives that they may be separated from due to COVID-19. We know that kids and families are working hard to combat boredom, loneliness, and isolation during this time, and Pots, Pans, and Pages attendees enjoy a literary and culinary experience that is a departure from the ordinary, an introduction to new recipes, a learning opportunity that combats reading loss through hands-on activities, and a chance to connect with authors and chefs, as well as friends and family near and far.
Each Pots, Pans, and Pages event features:
Tickets for future events will include a copy of the featured title, featured and follow-up recipes, a prep/supply list, and recommended further reading. Print copies of featured titles are available for shipping and often as audiobooks and e-books as well. Zoom links are emailed to ticket holders approximately 24 hours before the event.
